About this video: In this video, we show you how to download and install Forge in Minecraft 1.18. Minecraft Forge is by far the best way to get mods for Minecraft 1.18. It has all of the top mods for Minecraft on it, and it is very easy to do things like create mod packs based on Forge. So, without anymore delay, here is how to install Forge for Minecraft 1.18!
The first step of getting Forge for Minecraft 1.18 is downloading it. You can find the Minecraft Forge download link for 1.18 in the description above. That will actually take you to our text tutorial on getting Forge 1.18. This is great if you want to go through things at your own pace. When you are here though, scroll down and click the green ‘Download Forge’ button. That will take you to the official Forge download page for 1.18.
Once you are on the Forge download page, click ‘Installer’ under ‘Download Latest’. This will take you to Ad Focus where you want to wait a few seconds and click the ‘Skip’ button in the top right. Forge will then download. You will need to keep or save the file depending on your browser, and you now know how to download Forge 1.18 for Minecraft!
We can move from there to how to install Forge for Minecraft 1.18. To do this, right-click on the Forge file you downloaded, click on ‘Open With’, click ‘Java’, and click ‘Okay’. The Forge Mod System Installer should open. However, it may not, and if it doesn’t, it is because you need Java 17 in order to get Minecraft Forge 1.18. You can find our complete tutorial on doing this in the description above. In the Forge installer, just click on ‘Install’, and Forge will start installing in Minecraft 1.18!
After you have Forge installed, we aren’t completely finished. We still to make sure we are playing the Forge installation of Minecraft. You can do this by opening up the MInecraft Launcher. Then, once you are in the Minecraft Launcher, click the little button next to the play button. You should then see a ‘Forge’ profile here. Click that, and click Play. Click play again to confirm you are playing Minecraft 1.18 Forge, and then Minecraft Launcher!
