How to LOCK PHOTOS APP on your iPhone with Passcode or Face id (Security Setting)
Lock Photos Apps with Face ID or Passcode (iOS 18 or Later)
Locate the App:
Find the app you want to lock on your Home Screen or in the App Library (swipe left to access).
Enable Face ID or Passcode Lock:
Press and hold the app icon until a menu appears.
Tap Require Face ID (or Require Passcode if Face ID isn’t set up).
In the pop-up, confirm by selecting Require Face ID (or Require Passcode).
Optionally, choose Hide and Require Face ID to lock and remove the app from the Home Screen (it will move to a hidden folder in the App Library).
Test the Lock:
Open the Photo app. You’ll be prompted to authenticate with Face ID or your passcode.
Once authenticated, the app will open.
Manage Locked Apps:
To remove the lock, go to Settings - Accessibility - Face ID & Attention (or Settings - Face ID & Passcode, depending on your iOS version).
Find the app under Other Apps and toggle off Require Face ID or Require Passcode.
Alternatively, check the app’s own settings (e.g., for Notes or Photos) to disable locking.
