About this video: In this video, we are going to go over all of the different issues you could have when creating and running a Minecraft server and how to fix those issues with your Minecraft server. In all, we go over 12 different problems you could have when creating a Minecraft server, and how to get your Minecraft server working if you are having issues. Thus, without anymore delay, here is how to fix bugs on your Minecraft server!
I do want to mention first though that there are too many fixes listed here for me to go through them all in the description. They are, however, all outlined in depth in the video!
First, let’s talk about what to do if you can’t launch your Minecraft server. This could also mean that the EULA.txt file for your Minecraft server isn’t working or generating. First, let’s look at what to do if you don’t get an EULA.txt file when creating a Minecraft server. In this case, you will most likely need to download and install Java and run the JarFix in the description above.
From there, let’s look more into the run.bat file as this is used to fix a few different server issues. Truthfully, most people should be running their Minecraft server with a run.bat file as it allows you to control the RAM on your Minecraft server as well. We go over how to make a run.bat file and how to use it in-depth in the video.
Speaking of a Run.bat file, it will actually fix this next issues. If you keep having a ‘server can’t keep up message’ in your console, this is most likely because your server doesn’t have enough RAM. By using a run.bat file, you can add more ran to your server fixing the server can’t keep up error.
What if your Minecraft server keeps crashing though. Well, sadly, when it comes to server crashes, there are hundreds of different things that can crash a Minecraft server. In this video, we show you how to read Minecraft crash logs and how to fix some crashes your Minecraft server could have.
Another issue you may have is your friends not being able to join your Minecraft server. This is most likely due to the fact that your port forward or IP address have changed. Redo your port forward getting all of the new IP addresses along the way. There could also be an antivirus or firewall on your router or computer block connections stopping your friends from joining.
How can you fix lag on your Minecraft server? Well, we actually have an in-depth guide for stopping lag on Minecraft servers in the description above. It show shows you a bunch of different methods for stopping lag in Minecraft. The biggest lag problem for most servers is entities though, so we do have a plugin, Mob Farm Manager, linked in the description.
