How to PAIR Device with CODE for Remote Play on PS5 Console (Best Method)
0When using Remote Play, your PS5 console and your client device (like a phone, tablet, or PC) will usually connect automatically if they are on the same Wi-Fi network and you are signed in to the same PlayStation Network account on both.
However, if the connection fails, you can manually pair the devices using a code. This is the most reliable method for troubleshooting connection issues.
The Best Method: Pairing with a Code
This process requires you to get a code from your PS5 and then enter it into the Remote Play app on your other device.
Step 1: Get the Code from Your PS5
Make sure your PS5 is turned on or in Rest Mode.
From the PS5 home screen, go to Settings (the gear icon).
Scroll down and select System.
In the menu on the left, select Remote Play.
On the right-hand side, select Pair Device.
A screen will appear with a unique, eight-digit number. Keep this screen open.
Step 2: Enter the Code on Your Client Device
Open the PS Remote Play app on your phone, tablet, or PC.
The app will attempt to find your PS5 automatically. If it fails, or if you want to connect manually, look for an option to "Register Manually" or a similar prompt.
