How to Pair New Google TV Streamer Remote (Fast Method)
To pair a new Google TV Streamer Voice Remote with your Google TV Streamer, follow these steps:
Prepare the Remote:
Insert fresh AAA batteries into the new remote, ensuring correct alignment of the positive and negative ends.
Confirm the Google TV Streamer is powered on and connected to your TV, with the correct HDMI input selected.
Enter Pairing Mode on the Remote:
Press and hold the Back and Home buttons on the remote together for about 3 seconds.
The LED on the remote will start blinking, indicating it’s in pairing mode.
Put the Google TV Streamer in Pairing Mode:
Press the reset button on the back of the Google TV Streamer for 1 second (use a paperclip or similar tool). This activates pairing mode.
Alternatively, navigate to Settings- Remotes & Accessories - Pair remote or accessory on your TV screen. If the old remote isn’t working, use the Google TV app (available on iOS or Android) as a temporary remote to access this menu.
Complete the Pairing Process:
The TV should display a list of available devices. Select the Google TV Streamer Voice Remote from the list.
Follow any on-screen prompts to finalize pairing. The remote’s LED will stop blinking and turn solid when successfully paired.
