How to Share PlayStation Plus & Games on PS5 (Activate as Primary!)
4To share PlayStation Plus benefits and games on a PlayStation 5, use the Console Sharing and Offline Play feature. This allows other accounts on the same console to access your digital games and certain PlayStation Plus benefits, like online multiplayer and monthly games. Here’s how to set it up:
Steps to Share PlayStation Plus & Games on PS5
Sign into Your PS5 with Your PlayStation Network Account:
Use the account with the active PlayStation Plus subscription.
Enable Console Sharing and Offline Play:
From the PS5 home screen, go to Settings, then Users and Accounts, Other, and Console Sharing and Offline Play.
Select Enable if it’s not already on. This is automatically enabled on the first PS5 you sign into.
If enabled on another PS5, disable it there first, as only one PS5 can have this feature active. You can remotely deactivate other devices via the PlayStation website if needed.
Add Other Accounts to the PS5:
Other users can sign in with their own PlayStation Network accounts.
To add a user, go to Settings, Users and Accounts, Users, Add User, and sign in with an existing account or create a new one.
Access Shared Content:
With Console Sharing and Offline Play enabled, other accounts can:
Play your downloaded digital games, including those from PlayStation Plus.
Use PlayStation Plus benefits like online multiplayer, monthly games, and the Game Catalog, depending on your subscription tier: Essential, Extra, or Premium.
Play games offline without signing into your account.
Shared content is subject to parental control settings for child accounts, with age-appropriate restrictions.
Restore Licenses if Needed:
If games show a lock icon or don’t launch, go to Settings, Users and Accounts, Other, Restore Licenses, and select Restore to link content to the console.
