To prevent your controller from automatically opening Steam on your PC, you can follow these steps:

Disable Guide Button Focus in Steam:

Open Steam and click on the Steam menu in the top left corner.
Select Settings - Controller - General.

Under the Keyboard section, uncheck the box next to “Enable Steam Input for all games” .

Turn Off Bluetooth on PC:

If the issue persists, consider turning off Bluetooth on your PC. However, keep in mind that this may not work for all controllers.
Remap Buttons in Steam Big Picture Mode:

Open Steam in Big Picture Mode (click the full-screen icon in the top right corner).

Go to Settings - Controller Settings.
Uncheck the option for “Guide button focuses Steam” .
Disable Controller Desktop Configuration:

Navigate to Steam settings - Controller- Desktop Configuration.
Select the configuration and disable it.

Exit Steam and Manually Start Xbox Game Bar:
After unchecking “Guide button focuses Steam,” exit Steam.
Manually start the Xbox Game Bar by typing “xbox game bar” in the Windows dialog box.

In the Xbox Game Bar settings, select shortcuts and check “Open Xbox Game Bar with X button on a controller”
