The quickest and easiest way to mute the microphone on your PS5 controller is by using the dedicated mute button.

How to Mute Your Mic
Locate the Mute Button: Look at the PS5 DualSense controller. You'll find a small button right below the PlayStation button and above the small microphone icon.


Press the Button: Press this button once.

Check the Light: The button will glow with an orange light, indicating that the microphone is muted. You will also see a small microphone icon with a slash through it appear on your screen, confirming that the microphone is now off.
