How to unhide your Hidden Apps on iPhone (Best Method)
1To unhide apps on your iPhone, you can restore apps that were previously hidden from the Home Screen or App Library. Here’s how to do it, assuming you’re using iOS 14 or later (up to iOS 18 as of July 1, 2025):
1. Check the App Library
Access App Library: Swipe left on your Home Screen until you reach the App Library (the last screen with categorized app folders).
Search for the App:
Tap the Search bar at the top of the App Library.
Type the name of the hidden app.
Unhide the App:
Press and hold the app icon in the search results.
Select Add to Home Screen to make it visible again.
2. Use Settings to Unhide Apps
Open Settings: Go to Settings - Home Screen & App Library.
Check Hidden Apps: Ensure Show in App Library is enabled for apps. If an app was hidden from the Home Screen, it may still appear in the App Library.
Adjust Notifications:
If the app was hidden due to notification settings, go to Settings - Notifications, find the app, and ensure Show on Home Screen or badge notifications are enabled.
3. Check Screen Time Restrictions
Open Settings: Go to Settings - Screen Time - Content & Privacy Restrictions (if enabled).
Review Allowed Apps:
Tap Allowed Apps and ensure the app (e.g., Camera, Safari) is toggled on.
If restricted, toggle it on to unhide it.
Check Content Restrictions: Tap Content Restrictions and ensure no apps are blocked by age or other settings.
4. Search Using Spotlight
Open Spotlight Search: Swipe down from the middle of the Home Screen to access the search bar.
Type App Name: Enter the name of the hidden app.
Locate and Unhide:
If the app appears, press and hold its icon, then select Add to Home Screen.
If it’s not found, it may be deleted or restricted (see step 3).
5. Check for Hidden Home Screen Pages
Enter Edit Mode: Press and hold an empty area on the Home Screen until apps jiggle.
View Pages: Tap the dots at the bottom of the screen to see all Home Screen pages.
Unhide Pages: Check any unchecked pages (hidden pages have no checkmark). Tap the circle to re-enable the page, then tap Done.
