How to Watch Sharescreen Gameplay in PS5 Party Chat using Phone PlayStation App (Easy Method)
0To watch Share Screen gameplay in a PlayStation 5 (PS5) party chat using the PlayStation App on your phone, follow these steps:
Ensure the PS5 is Set Up for Share Screen:
The person sharing their gameplay must start a Share Screen session on their PS5:
Press the PS button on their DualSense controller to open the Control Center.
Select Game Base - Parties tab.
Choose or create a party (select Start Party, then choose Open Party or Closed Party).
In the party’s voice chat card, select Start Share Screen. A notification will confirm that Share Screen has started.
Join the Party on the PlayStation App:
Open the PlayStation App on your Android or iPhone and sign in with your PlayStation Network (PSN) account.
Tap the Game Base icon (speech bubble) at the bottom of the screen.
Go to the Parties tab and select the party where the Share Screen is active. If you don’t see it, ensure you’ve been invited or the party is set to Open Party (friends or friends of friends can join without an invite).
Request to Watch Share Screen:
In the PlayStation App, go to the Friends tab in Game Base.
Tap the friend’s Online ID who is sharing their screen to open their profile.
Select Request Share Screen. You’ll receive a notification when they start sharing their screen. Alternatively, if they’ve already started Share Screen in the party, you’ll see a notification in the party chat.
Tap the Share Screen notification in the party chat to start watching the gameplay. The gameplay will appear in the PlayStation App, allowing you to view it in real-time.
Interact with the Gameplay (Optional):
If the sharer enables viewer interactions, you can interact with their screen (e.g., ping areas or send reactions). However, this feature is primarily available on the PS5 console, not the PlayStation App. You can still watch the gameplay on your phone but may have limited interaction options.
