Unlike it's predecessors there is only one normally accessible +10 upgrade material in Bloodborne, in this case the blood rock. It takes a bit of exploration to find and it's annoying if you want to get it too early.

The trickiest part is the jump out of the elevator which is easy to miss your roll. The shortcut leads to the lever which lowers "mother brain" into a dark abyss for later. This also ceases the frenzy effect in NoM.

It requires fighting a lot of brain enemies that cause frenzy very quickly. Sedatives, and frenzy resist armor make this easier and much faster. After that it's simple spiders you can run by if you so wish.

You can still find another blood rock I think I head in chalice dungeons but if you want the one in the main world, it's here in Nightmare of Mensis.
