As part of the Ubisoft's efforts to promote their game subscription service (Ubisoft+), I decided to use their trial month to play through one of the games I really wanted to check out and the only aspect that had been keeping me away from it was the price tag. I had to approach my intent realistically: any huge open world franchise was out of the question, so I decided to play through Immortals Fenyx Rising. I could simply try out this title with the Game Pass, but Ubisoft+ offers all the dlcs and I really wanted to get through all the game has to offer in one attempt.
The game is claimed to be very similar to Zelda Breathe of the Wild. Although I have never been a fan of the Zelda franchise (simply because it has never been popular in my country), Fenyx Rising looks like a nice open world experience with lots of puzzles and collectibles/unlockables, which suits me :)
In this part, I carry on with the main quest and try to save goddess Aphrodite. I must admit that I did not expect the game to have such a comedic style (I only expected it to have colorful graphics, that's all) but I really like the general tone of the game and the constant comments made by Zeus and Prometheus. Although they become pretty predictable after some time (you just know that Zeus will comment on something in a few seconds), it is a pretty unusual approach to the narration.
