As part of the Ubisoft's efforts to promote their game subscription service (Ubisoft+), I decided to use their trial month to play through one of the games I really wanted to check out and the only aspect that had been keeping me away from it was the price tag. I had to approach my intent realistically: any huge open world franchise was out of the question, so I decided to play through Immortals Fenyx Rising. I could simply try out this title with the Game Pass, but Ubisoft+ offers all the dlcs and I really wanted to get through all the game has to offer in one attempt.
The game is claimed to be very similar to Zelda Breathe of the Wild. Although I have never been a fan of the Zelda franchise (simply because it has never been popular in my country), Fenyx Rising looks like a nice open world experience with lots of puzzles and collectibles/unlockables, which suits me :)
In this part, I defeat Kallisto, the Legendary Bear and the Legendary Nemean Lion for "Saving Our Hides". The fight with the latter was insanely tricky due to the narrow arena. Later on, I explore the locations for collectibles. I have not played Zelda The Breath of the Wild, but I can imagine why it is praised by the players. Fenyx Rising seems to use many of the mechanics found in BOTW and I really love the exploration - climbing, gliding, a plethora of different collectibles and mini-puzzles. I also managed to tame a winged horse (Laurion) - 2:13:00.
