As part of the Ubisoft's efforts to promote their game subscription service (Ubisoft+), I decided to use their trial month to play through one of the games I really wanted to check out and the only aspect that had been keeping me away from it was the price tag. I had to approach my intent realistically: any huge open world franchise was out of the question, so I decided to play through Immortals Fenyx Rising. I could simply try out this title with the Game Pass, but Ubisoft+ offers all the dlcs and I really wanted to get through all the game has to offer in one attempt.
The game is claimed to be very similar to Zelda Breathe of the Wild. Although I have never been a fan of the Zelda franchise (simply because it has never been popular in my country), Fenyx Rising looks like a nice open world experience with lots of puzzles and collectibles/unlockables, which suits me :)
In this part, I move on with the main quest and help the Goddess of Beauty, Aphrodite, to return to her true self. I solve a very long and creative puzzle to find the so-called Apple of Discord ("One Bad Apple"). Then, I retrieve Aphrodite's essence from her Vault ("Mean Goddesses"). I really love the puzzle and dungeon design in this game. It's a breeze of fresh air compared to all the games I have played recently.
