Jackie Chan Stuntmaster (Playstation) Retro Review: Is It Worth Playing? - NichePlays
82Jackie Chan Stuntmaster is a platformer/beat-em-up that was released for the Sony Playstation in 2000. The game follows Jackie Chan (of Rush Hour, Rumble in the Bronx, Police Story, and Drunken Master fame) as he tries to rescue his grandfather, who's been kidnapped by a peanuts gallery of strangely themed villains. There's also a package somewhere in the mix, which begs the question: What's in the box?
The game is a relatively fun ride, despite some pretty glaring issues. It has fun (albeit dated) visuals, catchy music, and generally fun combat. However, it also suffers from poor platforming segments, a lack of variety in its pre-recorded audio, and also suffers from being a late-era PS1 game that doesn't do enough to stand out against newer games that came out at around the same time for the Dreamcast/PS2.
