The Death and Return of Superman (SNES) Retro Review: Is It Worth Playing? - NichePlays
38Originally released for the SNES in 1994, The Death and Return of Superman follows the tale of... well... the death and return of superman. The game chronicles Superman's battle with Doomsday, his subsequent death, and the emergence of 4 other "Supermen" bent on carrying on the real Kal El's legacy. The game features colorful 16-bit graphics, hordes of enemies to battle, and a punchy/serviceable soundtrack.
While far from perfect, I totally recommend this game to fans of beat em ups or the man of steel. It's arguably the best Superman game out there and, despite a kinda high price, is a worthy addition to any retro game collection. Oh, and it's also on the Genesis in higher resolution and with a different soundtrack!
