Today I'm taking a look at some of the Training and mission Scenarios included in Kerbal Space Program 1.0. It's bee quite a while since I've looks at these, and some of the scenarios are really fun!


The Training goes through the basics of each part of the game. I look at the first three training tutorials, that cover Construction Basics, Flight Basics, and Orbiting 101.

A quick note here, I had let Steam upgrade my KSP directory over top of the same directory I've been using since at least 0.18 and I have had some mods installed in the past. It seems like something prevented some of the training tutorials from running correctly. Redownloading seems to have fix the issue, but the audio is off a bit in the second part of the video after the game was restarted.

I then I take a look at the first Scenario Mission, 'Asteroid Redirect Mission: Orbital Rendezvous'. The task of this mission so to perform some maneuvers to rendezvous an asteroid and to match it's orbit. I do this scenario, and apparently take it a bit further by actually grabbing the asteroid with the claw attached to the ship. I'm not sure if it is an issue with the scenario in general, or just some issue on my machine, but the rockets seems to have fuel lines that don't work. I had to keep manually transferring fuel between the main tank and the small tanks on the engines.

I'll be looking at more of the scenarios in the next video!
