*– VIDEO INTRODUCTION –*
This playthrough shows:
• a no-death run of the first loop.
Loop two has the exact same nine maps as the first loop, but the items are invisible – just like they were in maps 8 and 9 of loop one. Beating this loop results in an alternate ending.
The timestamps for each map can be found at the bottom of the video description box.

*– GAME OVERVIEW –*
_Knight Lore_ for the Famicom Disk System is an isometric puzzle action-adventure video game. It was ported by Tose and published by Jaleco. The game was released in Japan on December 19, 1986.
• Developer Ultimate Play the Game (now Rare) first brought _Knight Lore_ to the Sinclair ZX Spectrum home computer in Europe in November 1984.
◦ The title is widely regarded as a seminal work in British gaming history. It introduced the (highly influential) Filmation game engine and popularized isometric graphics.
◦ Jaleco acquired the rights to publish the game in Japan. In addition to a port for the Famicom Disk System – a rather sloppy adaptation, missing a fair amount of gameplay – the company also released the game for the Microsoft MSX (1986).
• In _Knight Lore,_ Sabreman – the player character – arrives at Knight Lore Castle in search of a cure for his newfound lycanthropy (or werewolf curse).
◦ By collecting a series of items for the resident wizard, Melkhior, the cure is obtained.
• Although completed first, _Knight Lore_ was released as the third title in the _Sabreman_ series. By delaying it, Ultimate Play the Game was able to create another Filmation game – its sequel _Pentagram_ (1986) for the ZX Spectrum and MSX – before other developers could copy the style.
◦ _Sabre Wulf_ and _Underwurlde_ (both 1984) – developed exclusively for Western home computers – preceded the game.
◦ The sequel _Mire Mare_ was canceled.
