Labyrinth of The Demon King [Demo]: Dungeon Crawler Meets Survival Horror

Despite me posting the Demo I've actually finished the game twice & 100% it on PS5 but I figured using the Demo for a showcase would make a lot more sense honestly, that aside, I kept my eye on this game for quite awhile (I have a comically long list of games I got my eyes on actually as this year is plentiful for indie games) and I'm quite glad it released as it's a fun mish mash of types with a super cool "grimy" and general visual artstyle; the most notable thing though is definitely the fact that the "Dungeon Crawler" element is more of a background aspect that gives space to the way more defined "Survival Horror" gameplay and style.
I say that because the game feels extremely "Old School Survival Horror" in a lot of aspects and it shows that's one of the main elements driving the gameplay, especially noticeable with how the Maps and general architecture of the spaces is designed (lot of going back and forths with places being interconnected a bunch) and also how the items all feel like a finite resource you have to manage smartly until the end of the game rather than something you can constantly re-use or not worry as much... Actually this is kinda funny because due to how the game is built you end up using maybe 5/10% of all the arsenal offered to you by the game, though they are planning a NG+ Patch so this aspect is probably gonna be fixed like that.
Well, anyhow, I don't want to end up talking too much here as you can read my thoughts in the video commentary anyway. Long story short: the game is cool and if you like Horror stuff, Japanese folklore and defeating Demon Kings, then you should give it a shot.
Do note that this is a short 5 to 6 hours experience that can get around 8 or so if you want to 100% and couldn't do it in the first run; it is a Dungeon Crawler inspired Horror after all!
