Late-Game Minecraft 197 :: Full View of the Sea
Finally, we take down the entire wall that separates the village from the sea! The villagers likely appreciate the ability to see the sea from their houses again. We also continue to replace the village paths and lower the level of the last farm plot!
After we enter our Minecraft world, we immediately get to work and take down a long section of the village wall! An iron golem comes along to watch us, I just hope it does not try to escape! We continue removing the section of the wall that is next to a village house, up to the point where the wall leaves the coast.
When we have placed all the fences, we put down lanterns on top of them to light up the area. We also remove a short section of path that is outside of the boundaries of the village. After we are done, we fly over to the storage area to keep our spare items and sleep for the night.
The next day, we bring down the other end of the wall that is still blocking the coastline! As we place down the oak fences, we spot a villager that has made it to the other side of the wall! We let him enter the village before we block off access to the outside world again.
While placing our lanterns, we realise that the last lantern would not be positioned just before the wall! To fix this, we remove a bit more of the inland wall. Afterwards, we return to our storage chests to decide on what we should do next.
There are many paths that still need to be replaced in the village! We decide to work on the path that is directly next to the west wall, since we had chopped down that part of the wall earlier. Digging up the path exposes a deep hole however, and we realise there is a cave underneath!
We take care not to get any villagers trapped in the caves under the village as we build the road. We do get trapped ourselves, but it's alright since we know how to get out! Fortunately, no villagers are curious enough to voluntarily enter the caves while we dig away the old paths and replace them with spruce wood.
Near the village fountain, we clear away some more grass path blocks that do not seem to lead anywhere! We work on linking our path to the central fountain as the sky turns dark. Before we continue, we lay down our bed and sleep for the night.
A village lamppost is in the way of our path, so we are forced to relocate it! At least, I'm guessing it is a lamppost since it is a tall wooden structure with 4 torches at the top. A little ugly but we will keep it for now, until we think of something that looks better!
We place down lanterns around the small lake that the path passes by! There is a beetroot farm by the lake, which is not naturally generated by the world but rather an idea from us! It makes more sense to have a farm beside a water body for irrigation rather than in the middle of nowhere.
The last farm plot of the village in the south is still elevated one block higher than the path next to it! We slowly lower the farm, moving it one block at a time. However, we are still a little careless while doing this and water spills everywhere!
We end the episode after we are done with lowering the farm plot. The composter is still left floating in the air, but we should use the piston to move it, so that we do not waste the compost that our villagers worked so hard to make! It will be a task for tomorrow.
