In this video, Mahalo expert Gene Shaw explains the options available in the Transparency and Gamut tab in the Preferences menu.

Transparency and Gamut Preferences
---------------------------------------------------------------------

The Transparency and Gamut preferences allow you to customize the color and size of the transparency grid. Here you can also change the gamut warning options.

1. Open the Preferences menu by pressing Ctrl+K (Command+K for Mac) and click on the tab Transparency and Gamut.
2. Transparency Settings is at the top with options for Grid Size and Grid Color. All this does is allow you to change the transparency grid settings and control how the grid appears on your screen. Default setting is fine for this purpose as  these settings don't really affect the outcome of your work.
3. Gamut Warning shows you which colors are too bright on an image you're working on for when you're going to print it. This warning indicates which colors are going to change when you print your file. The Gamut Warning can be turned on in the View menu in the top menu bar.
