In this video, Mahalo expert Gene Shaw explains the various cursor options that are available.

Cursors Preferences
---------------------------------------------------------------------

There are several options that you can choose from in the Cursors tab of the Preferences menu.

1. Open the Preferences menu by pressing Ctrl+K (Command+K for Mac) and click on the tab Cursors.
2. This preference tab allows you to change the appearance of your cursor that you're using to work on your image. The default cursor is Normal Brush Tip.
3. If you change it to Standard you will see instead the icon associated with the tool you're using. In the video, Gene shows you how the icon of the paintbrush appears when the paintbrush tool is selected.
4. Precise will give you a crosshair as your cursor. But if you set your cursor to Normal Brush Tip and hit Caps Lock, the cursor will turn into a crosshair.
5. Full Size Brush Tip is mostly going to be noticed when you're using a soft brush, which appears as softness as you get to the end of the brush. You might use this option if you have a Wacom tablet.
6. Show Crosshair In Brush Tip is nice to mark checked, but Show Only Crosshair While Painting is good to leave unchecked because it's nice to see roughly where your mark is going to be made.
