PREVIOUSLY:
With Noa and Terra being attacked by Caruban, Meta urges Vahn to hurry to the mountain top to help them. Upon reaching the summit, they combine forces to defeat the flying flame Seru. After the battle, Vahn revives the Genesis Tree with his Ra-Seru powers, transferring Terra from the wolf to Noa in the process.

The duo makes their way back down the mountain, and returns to Drake Castle, which is now free of the Mist. There they are met by King Drake III, who welcomes them by expressing his gratitude for ridding the Mist in Rim Elm, and in Drake Castle. Apologizing for the inconvenience he had caused for opening the water gate, he hands them the Water Key, which gives them access to the other side of the river, where Biron Monastery is located.

As Vahn and Noa are about to leave the castle, the cheerful Noa gets excited seeing a crowd of people for the first time, she interacts with everyone, learning different types of new things from them. After talking to everyone at the castle entrance, they continue on their journey to Biron Monastery.
