Up next is one of the most Google-proof games ever made with 3D sound using OpenAL Soft's HRTF [IRC_1037 tables]. Legendary was absolutely trashed by the critics in 2008 and is still considered to be one of the worst games of the 360 era. On one hand, I can kind of see why; it's the kind of game where you fucking fall through the elevator before the final boss because they capped the PC version's FPS to 300 instead of 30. On the other hand, I feel like its flaws were overstated. The concept is just Michael Bay enough that it could've been a classic, but the really dull, repetitive gameplay lets it down. Legendary is a 5/10 at worst, not 2/10. A real guilty pleasure that's worth $1.99 let alone the absurdly low prices you can find it for during GamersGate sales.
Legendary was one of the last Unreal Engine 3 games to use the OpenAL API before devs started switching over to XAudio2 and FMOD. It sounds about on-par with how the average UE2 game sounds. No precision accuracy like Unreal Tournament 3 or Frontlines: Fuel of War, unfortunately. The level design however makes great use of 3D audio sources (especially when all hell is breaking loose in the city), and is basically worth the $1.99 price of admission.
