Lets Build Twitter From the Ground Up: Episode 201 || Java, Spring Boot, PostgreSQL and React VIDEO
Building large scale application is more difficult than many people understand or expect. Join me in this long running series where I set out to duplicate one of the most popular social media platforms ever creating using Java, Spring Boot, Spring Security, PostgreSQL data, React JS web application framework and more.
In this episode we continue working on the new message interaction popup modals. This time around we are working on the modal which allows users to react to a message. Firstly we needed to setup a new utility function to map emoji images for the modal. Once we are completed with that we setup a new component called the MessageReactModal which will allow a user to open up all the reaction options. We are using the EmojiDropdown component inside the reaction component so we had to also refactor that a little bit as well. After we wrap up the modal work we install it into the MessageContainer component to style and test it, fixing any mistakes that we ran into.
