Building large scale application is more difficult than many people understand or expect. Join me in this long running series where I set out to duplicate one of the most popular social media platforms ever creating using Java, Spring Boot, Spring Security, PostgreSQL data, React JS web application framework and more.

In this episode we finally give our MessageMoreModal logic. We start out by setting up the ability for a user to hide a message. To do this we first had to do a couple minor tweaks in the backend, then we setup a new async thunk to send the request to hide the message. After the request came back we setup logic to only display messages in the conversation container that are not hidden by you. We also quickly setup copying a message to your clipboard, before hopping into starting on replies. To start creating replies we setup a new reducer to set the message we are replying to, then displayed that message at the bottom of the MessagesPopup component just above the create message bar component.
