Lets Build Twitter From the Ground Up: Episode 215 || Java, Spring Boot, PostgreSQL and React
5Building large scale application is more difficult than many people understand or expect. Join me in this long running series where I set out to duplicate one of the most popular social media platforms ever creating using Java, Spring Boot, Spring Security, PostgreSQL data, React JS web application framework and more.
In this episode we start actually working on components of the Profile page. We start out updating the ProfileTopBar component to be more flexible because it is also going to be used when on a users following/followers page. We add a new container div, setup proper navigation with the back button, and display information conditionally based on the users location. After we updated the ProfileTopBar we created a new component called the ProfileFollowTopBar which will help indicate which of the profile users following page you are on, and also allow you to navigate between the different pages. Once this was completed and styled, we added it to be rendered in the ProfileTopBar whenever you are in one of the users following pages. Finally we re-added the ProfileTopBar to the Profile page, as well as the banner so that the profile is no longer a barren white page.
