Building large scale application is more difficult than many people understand or expect. Join me in this long running series where I set out to duplicate one of the most popular social media platforms ever creating using Java, Spring Boot, Spring Security, PostgreSQL data, React JS web application framework and more.

In this episode we work on the ability to follow a list. To do this we first render the suggested lists in the discover lists component using the newly created list card components we created in the previous episode. Once we can see the list cards we hopped into the backend to setup the logic to follow or unfollow a specific list. Once that was complete we had a little bit more work to do inside of the lists slice and the list card component to be able to follow the cards. After we set everything up we tested everything and made sure that it was working as expected.
