Building large scale application is more difficult than many people understand or expect. Join me in this long running series where I set out to duplicate one of the most popular social media platforms ever creating using Java, Spring Boot, Spring Security, PostgreSQL data, React JS web application framework and more.

In this episode we start working on the ability to create a new list. To do this we first needed to create a new component called create list modal, as well as update the modal slice to be able to open the modal, and update the list slice to be able to actually submit the create new list request. Once we have all of that setup we work on the create list modal top component that allows us to close out of the modal, along with navigating to the second form for creating a list and submitting the create list request. After setting up the html and logic for the create list modal top we styled the component with css and implemented it into the create list modal component, testing everything to ensure it was working as expected.
