Let’s Play BG2 EE ToB #09: Cleaving a Path to Gromnir
86Terri and her companions are currently battling their way through the prison, a haven for vampires that you’d really think the local priest would do all they could to eradicate. Perhaps she didn’t feel she had the power to do so and instead decided to focus on what she could achieve. Whatever her reason for leaving the threat to fester, we’re making short work of them as we move towards our goal: the way into the castle. There’s a minor sidequest to complete too going this way as opposed to the sewers which is a nice bonus.
The castle itself is quite heavily guarded by Gromnir’s troops, most of whom are bhaalspawn themselves. It makes you wonder just how many children Bhaal had during the Time of Troubles. Fortunately for us, none of the bhaalspawn in the lower levels have manifested the same kind of powers that we have and, while powerful, can’t stand up to the might of our team. The ones further above in the palace itself are another matter but we haven’t reached them yet.
