Let's Play Digimon World Part 61 - Greymon Exceeds his Superior and MetalGreymon DIES?!
Playing what is arguably a most favorite and fondly-remembered game of mines from the childhood days, Digimon World presents an exciting adventure for me and my cousin here as we both delve forward into a duo playthrough together from beginning to end to bring back File Island to it's original bustling city status!
Starting off here is, you guessed it, yet another tournament! And of the fabulous Grade A type as well!
Of course, knowing just how terribly difficult these kinds of matches are for my cousin and all, Jay didn't stand match of a chance, especially not against the new and improved Greymon, since he too has learnt from his last encounter in the Battle Arena and proceeded to tear his evolved form apart, surprisingly so considering you wouldn't think a champion could beat an ultimate like this, but then again this is Digimon World we're talking about here!
Only one way of fixing this embarrassment was to have Cynite commit 'seppuku' in the sense that he is to be cut apart by a trio of Vermilimon at the entrance to Mount Infinity without any healing items at all which, despite being quite the tough digimon himself, does not make him immune to death, far from it!
Now if this were my titan of a digimon HerculesKabuterimon, then mostly likely he could endure a good few tough fights like this and still be alive, but alas that is not so for MetalGreymon as we found out later on when we deliberately had him killed (after saving, of course!) in order to demonstrate to my cousin how devastating dieing a non-natural death can be, with a digimon tamer level likely being lost, tech losses as well as being unable to choose your own DigiEgg at that!
However, I was hoping the latter-half of this video to be titled "MetalGreymon DIGIVOLVES?!" for obvious reasons in the previous video, due to that rare side-digivolution that can trigger if MetalGreymon dies in a field battle outside of the arena, but, for some godforsaken reason, Cynite just did not want to trigger the evolve process at all!
A bloody shame that, since I had hoped to wow my cousin like so, but alas he gets the more mundane lesson of what actually happens to your precious digimon partner if they pass away prematurely and all. A little sad this video, but hey ho at least he never had to learn it the hard way like he could have with Vademon and Tyrannomon in the earlier parts of this playthrough!
In any case, I hope you enjoyed the video and any constructive comments or criticism is appreciated!
