Greetings one and all to a realm of commentated videos where I essentially critique a wide variety of games that I have enjoyed not just thoroughly, but also enable a high level of creativity in some form to make the experience special for me to talk about!

Getting around to my third, and final, character of the trio in my many adventures of MapleStory thus far, I showcase what my Bowman is capable of whilst exploring the wacky area that is totally not Legoland but a unique and colorful land called Ludibrium here!

Ah yes, but what's the tale with the Bowman here eh? Considering I've picked these three classes specifically because they align exactly with the combat triangle of Runescape itself fitting enough! (Melee over Range, Range over Magic and Magic over Melee)

Well the thing with the Bowman is, indeed, they fight with their ranged weapons via arrows and bolts, but of course there is that specialist route to consider as well! Whereas the Warrior and Magician have three sub-classes, here with the Bowman there is only two: the Hunter and Crossbowman!

Whereas the Hunter puts the focus on the classic tested bow and arrow method, aiming to utilize a large variety of special effects alongside generally making the art of shooting arrows at your foe more powerful over time, putting an emphasis on agility and speed above all else, the Crossbowman has more effort put into those ever-so-powerful and accurate skills on top of the general focus on crossbows and their metallic bolts instead of bows with wooden arrows.

Indeed, I chose the Crossbowman here to be more in line with my melee-based Dark Knight, but with the added bonus/challenge of shooting from afar and having increased agility at the cost of some valuable HP and being more fragile, though not on the same level as my Ice/Lightning Mage here! At least he's the one most likely to avoid hits, though the Thief class is technically the best in that field, but alas!

Certainly Euxantius here has the best distance as far as shooting and hitting enemies off-screen, but moves that cover a wide area are not such on here sadly, so it's a matter of lining them up in the one platform, making some rooms for grinding easier than others and vice-versa.

Suppose as far as Ludibrium goes, certainly it's an interesting area to explore once you're high-enough leveled to access it, but wow is this place quite complicated to traverse! I know for a fact that MapleStory's many maps pre-Big Bang were rather notorious for not only being quite hard to navigate at times via unconventional platform challenges, but also having a bad habit back then of putting inappropriately tough monsters in the way, so much so you had to be careful not to end up stuck in the wrong towns for respawning in (Sleepywood from the old Victoria Island comes to mind here!) otherwise you'd be in for a terribly bad time for MapleStory!

Still, I suppose it helps that each character has their own set of potions, nearly all of whom are provided by my Magician with her Herbalism and Alchemy professions back at Ardentmill helping to provide the trio with seriously good HP and MP potions whilst my Bowman here is the one tasked with being a Miner, mainly to go and forge rings and other accessories for the trio to wear and gain stat bonuses from. Takes some time, right enough, but it pays off when you take your time off from grinding and focus on getting those resources and all!

Just it's intriguing how, once you reach the prestigious level of 100 and access what is technically your 'final' tier as the Fourth Job, you do still have even MORE to look forward to after that, with Level 150 granting access to the famed 'Hyper Skills' and all, certainly a prestigious part of the game once you get through enough of the grind and all, with the absolute highest level being that of a gigantic Level 250!!

It's safe to say I'll likely never reach the end-game stuff here, not with Old School Runescape taking up as much time as it has since I last recorded this, but such as it is with MMORPGs these days eh?

Ah man, well at least it's a different kind of MMORPG at that, since Runescape fills that 'chill and AFK' style of gaming (save for some bossing and raids late-game!) whilst this fits that niche of going all out on combat as well as bringing a unique form of platforming into action here! At least there's always an alternative to go to, should I be itching for some good old-fashioned RPG action (with a bit of MMO to it) but want something visually and gameplay-wise different from Runescape and all!

In any case, I hope you enjoyed the video and any constructive comments or criticism is appreciated!
