Let's Play Digimon World Part 63 - Multiplayer Chaos and the Fights Between Cousins!
Playing what is arguably a most favorite and fondly-remembered game of mines from the childhood days, Digimon World presents an exciting adventure for me and my cousin here as we both delve forward into a duo playthrough together from beginning to end to bring back File Island to it's original bustling city status!
Indeed, that is the last of the singleplayer action at that, finishing off against the second MachienDramon battle and all, but we're not *quite* finished with the Let's Play here, for there's still some exciting multiplayer action left for us to contend with, seeing the best of Jay's digimon go up against my five favoured digimon in their rookie, champion and ultimate forms!
But yes, this one will be different from the others thus far in that we essentially do not command our digimon and all, instead leaving them to their own devices as inspired by the second Garurumon fight and all!
Going at it 5v5 here, we start off with Cynite's champion stage Tyrannomon against my battle-hardened Megadramon, massively nostalgic digimon in it's own right but also with being the evolved form I got from AirDramon not long after beating MachineDramon for the very first time by myself several years back! Of course, Jay did not stand a chance against mines, despite initially doing quite well for evading the powerful attacks of my mechanical dragon and even taking advantage of it's confused weakness for a short time!
Next was the battle between Opal the Centarumon and (not Kunemon) Devimon, mid-tier form of Skull and all as well as the final of my champions yet to be seen here! Was quite exciting here since Jay's old pal was looking to hold his own, almost winning it, but nope mines won yet again in the end via a close call of sorts!
Thirdly is the duel with my weakest ultimate Pixiemon and Jay's not-so-liked Halite the Monzaemon, whether that be due to the 'drugged' look of the digimon or it just being weak and a 'free ultimate' at that, but yes he stood not an ounce of chance against even my weakest ultimate either! Funny that huh?
The fourth battle here consisted of AirDramon, champion version of Megadramon and the iconic digimon I spoke of earlier, against Jay's definitely-favoured Vademon. Definitely a better fight than the last, but nope still couldn't beat a champion of mines at that. Lovely!
Now for the final battle, and these are the ones I always try to make the most exciting here, but the epic MetalGreymon against... Not HerculesKabuterimon?!
Nope, for I knew that'd be kind of OP and not the most actual adrenaline-rushing battle, despite seeing my best of the best showing off his raw power, but rather a mysterious and fabled digimon in the form of the ultimate-tier Phoenixmon, who is the last of the ultimates yet to be seen as Eagle!
Quintessentially Phoenixmon is the rare 'Air' legendary of the game, being notoriously hard to get compared to most ultimates whereas HerculesKabuterimon is the elusive 'Land' legendary that I also managed to acquire. However, there is also a phenomenal 'Sea' legendary that is MegaSeadramon, not to be confused with that WaruSeadramon fought with Ogremon's third fight with the colours being different and all, but I have yet to get that unique digimon and likely never will sadly, but alas two out of three is good enough for me!
Anyhow yes, the superb battle itself! Indeed, MetalGreymon certainly did put up a better fight against Phoenixmon than he did against my Xavier's ultimate form, being weaker back then and all too, however half-way into the fight mines got lucky and turned that nasty paralysis effect on Cynite quite badly, to the point of rendering him mostly without threat and really just taking the piss at that point!
Indeed, 5 wins for me and not one for my dear cousin, but I suppose there is something to be learnt from failure and all eh?
In any case, I hope you enjoyed the video and any constructive comments or criticism is appreciated!
