Old School Runescape Ep.113 - Third Inferno Cave Run
1Welcome one and all to a grand adventure of mines on what many Brits here consider to be a classic MMORPG that brings forth fond and fun memories, where I'll be showcasing all sorts of moments in this most exciting commentated series of videos of the world of Gielinor created by Cambridge's own Jagex!
Now for my third go here at the prestigious and certainly most dangerous Inferno Cave, the Tzhaar's finest against me unlike the now commonly-mocked Fight 'Fire' Caves by the elite PvM'ers that I very much intend on aspiring to become one myself some day! (Though I dare say that I've already partially gotten there thanks to some advanced techniques I've learnt through the likes of solo'ing all three Dagannoth Kings, Zilyana, Abyssal Sire and, of course, Zulrah him/herself!)
Indeed, this one's upgrade came in the form of primarily my use of the ancient magic here, with the decent Ahrim's now finally getting replaced by those respectable Ancestral robe top and bottoms that was so instrumental in my efficient success at the 'money snake' as it were! True, you do risk more damage with the reduced defence, however you're really only meant to wield the mage armour when ice barraging the swarm of nibblers at the start of each wave anyhow, then quickly switch to the ranged gear and be done with them (assuming all died in one barrage) or take a quick shot or few at any stragglers left, but I digress.
Anyhow, I'm intending to make swift progress here, all booted up and rearing to go now that I've got most of the elite-tier equipment under my belt, (though that Elysian Spirit Shield and Twisted Bow would be simply splendid to have at this point, but I can't complain when I'm not far off from getting the latter!) however it would seem the Inferno Cave had other plans as, partially due to partial bad positioning at the start of Wave 31 and also due to incompetence on my part by panicking and running behind the perfectly 'safe' Inferno Golem (ranger) to be exposed by the notorious Inferno Slime (absolute twat that makes trying to kill the others an absolute nightmare) essentially made this relatively easy wave IN HINDSIGHT look to be quite the infuriatingly difficult task at the time!
So yes, technically I did make some progress here in OSRS's hardest PvM content! But I am taking some serious liberty when using the word 'progress' here, since I was originally hoping to get to Wave 40 and beyond in my third run, but alas this most definitely warrants a visit near down the road, and very soon at that! Can't suffer an embarrassment like this if I can help it!
