Greetings one and all to a realm of commentated videos where I essentially critique a wide variety of games that I have enjoyed not just thoroughly, but also enable a high level of creativity in some form to make the experience special for me to talk about!

Now back here, as promised, with my second character here, TwilightRose, who is indeed set on the Magician path, this is certainly quite the fun class to cover here and I'll do just that by covering what is distinctive between the Warrior classes and those of the Magician paths.

For starters, the obvious one here is that Warriors use melee weapons (Swords, Axes, Maces, Polearms etc) and occasionally shields if their chosen weapon is one-handed to effectively deal with their foes, using such skills to help them in relatively-close combat without much use for magic/MP outside of properly powerful moves that, later on in the game, are kind of needed to kill many a monster quickly.

Indeed, the Magician varies greatly in that they instead use Wands and Staffs in order to enhance their highly potent magical spells, making it such that their HP is critically low unlike the Warriors, but also unlike them they possess the highest MP of all classes, which is actually critical considering just how much mana each spell takes, which only escalates once you get into the later jobs as it were!

Of course, whilst I say Defencelion is chill to play as, his flashy spear techniques making it so that, when combined with all the buffs and that HP Leech ability, he can essentially live rather dangerously and recklessly take a decent amount of damage, just to recover it all back rather easily in a crowd of monsters! TwilightRose can't exactly do that without getting killed rather quickly, however she is arguably the most exciting in terms of 'crowd control', since the latter spells are VERY good at quickly eliminating a whole room's worth of them in just one spell, the sheer carnage to be had here! Certainly the best in terms of killing monsters quickly, but damn does she need a lot of Mana potions just to keep her going!

Though it is good to see how incredibly utilizing that teleport spell is, since my Magician lacks that double jump ability that my Warriors possesses, however this lets you go places instantly which can include platforms high above you that my Warrior could not physically reach easily! Again, the MP usage is a right pain, but it pays off rather nicely all things considered!

Now, not forgetting that the Magician too does have it's route of sub-classes, again three separate paths where one who has reached Level 30 as a Magician can choose to become either the deadly arts of Fire and Poison, the fierce elements of Ice and Lightning or the more passive and holy sorcery of becoming a Cleric.

Indeed, the Fire/Poison wizards specialize in dealing a great amount of damage over time, focusing their spells mainly on dealing as much damage as possible no matter the costs, Ice/Lightning magical users don't deal quite as much DPS-wise but make up for it via the considerable debuff effects that their spells tend to have alongside having some better versions of non-combative spells to balance it out, whilst the Cleric path has the player essentially be a full-on supporter, which makes combat by themselves very challenging however they also possess some of the most powerful buffing moves to parties in the whole game alongside some seriously powerful spells used against undead or necrotic foes, making them have a niche there on their own but generally desired among all kinds of players for obvious reasons!

As one can probably figure, I chose the Ice/Lightning path since I made my Warrior the one to focus on DPS, so I was keen to try out a class with some more diversity among it's techniques, hence why I passed over Fire/Poison and all, plus I'm hardly what you'd call a pure supporter, so the Cleric was out of the question for me!

Ah man, and to think the lovely music of MapleStory was untouched up until now, so grand and pleasant to the ears that it's one of the few RPG games out there where one can truly immerse themselves proper! Helps it's also in arguably one of the more beautiful environments this game has to offer, that being the vast sandy shores in the hot and dry climate that is Ariant!

Also getting that opportunity to show off a neat area that is present in all towns and cities here, that being Ardentmill, a rather unusual land filled to the brim with all kinds of resources waiting to be collected or mined! But how to actually get them?

Well this comes in the form of 'Professions' here in this part of the game, the main two being Mining and Herbalism, whilst the latter three (Smithing, Accessory Crafting and Alchemy) can only be learnt by the first two core Professions. Since my Magician uses the most with potions and all, well the obvious path is there!

In any case, I hope you enjoyed the video and any constructive comments or criticism is appreciated!
