For those who wanted to watch something cheery and silly today, this might not be the upload for you.

While the game has had its dark and sinister undertones since the very beginning, up until very recently it’s kept them on the back burner. They’ve always been there however no matter where we are and what we’re doing. Whether it’s uncovering silly interactions, partaking in ludicrous hi-jinks to get inventory items, conversing with the many NPCs or striving to find a use for the paper cup, they’ve lingered. Edna’s quest started out as a bid for freedom, then the goals of clearing her father’s name, finding out what happened to Alfred and uncovering the evil schemes of Dr. Marcel were quickly added into the mix.

The thing we found in the churchyard is the game warning you that the tone of the story is shifting and quickly at that. There are still silly moments scattered about here and there but they’re few and far between now that we’re approaching the end. Some may watch this video knowing full well what’s about to happen while others will have pieced it together through logical deduction, but that doesn’t mean you’re prepared for it. I certainly wasn’t.
