Let’s Play HC Minecraft Take Three #31: Back to Building the Wall

With our surprise spelunking all wrapped up and the Avatar safely back home, it’s time to put all the stone we mined to good use. We also have a lot ore to smelt alongside the stone, making me glad that I set up some blast furnaces to help speed up getting the metal bars.
While there certainly are arguments to be made for enclosing in my farming area completely with the wall, my design is such that enemies typically won’t be able to navigate around it. They need to both be within aggro range and have line of sight to start chasing us, the latter of which the wall will prevent. It also allows me to continue the vast accumulation of paper I’ve got going on for books and later sale to villagers, should I get to the point where I can found a village.
