Our time in what remains of the city has answered few of our questions, though it has reaffirmed just how much danger we’re in. something sets us apart not only from the mindless people being moved about in trucks and marched to who-knows-where, but also the people wearing masks that appear to be normal and yet most likely aren’t. We will find no sanctuary within the crumbling ruins of this settlement and so we must keep moving.
Unfortunately for us, our path means going through something that both gives and takes life: water. As almost everything in this world we’re running through is still and foreboding, so too are the bodies of water we’ll need to swim through. We are extra vulnerable while diving down however, for we need to hold our breath and can’t really defend ourselves from anything that might want to attack. What secrets are hidden deep in the waters of this broken world and how many of them want us gone?
