We begin World 7, Tidal Temples. Set in a large area of flooded ruins, it's probably my favorite world in the game. 7-1/Tidal Temples 1 is a standard ruins level with waterfalls in the scenery (you don't interact with them), yellow Koopas, and stone heads shooting arrows. This level also has lots of cracked blocks, which instantly shatter when touched by the player or an enemy. They tend to flank solid platforms above bottomless pits, too, so be careful with your jumps here! 7-2/Tidal Temples 2 is completely underwater, and it throws Torpedo Teds into the mix, having them come out of specially-marked blocks. 7-3/Tidal Temples 3 is partially underwater. In the first half of the stage, the water covers only half the screen, and in the second half, the water level rises and falls. In both parts, you have to deal with Monty Moles, Volcano Lotuses, *upside-down* Volcano Lotuses, and fish, with some Munchers somewhere in there for good measure.
