Let's Play The Banner Saga [Part 14] - Ludin Eats Fist

In this episode of Let's Play The Banner Saga, we finally upgrade our heroes. I've been going around doing this chapter of the Varl campaign without really upgrading anyone very much, which is a problem because combat and war against the dredge are totally a thing in The Banner Saga.

So we give our soldiers a sweet ass upgrade. Hakon is captain badass, of course, but we also upgrade a few others, like Bersi and Mogr, I think. Quite a few random events, and a lot of the choose your own adventure style gameplay this episode, if that tickles your fancy. I think there's a bit of combat gameplay in there too, but I'm not too sure.

Either way, The Banner Saga prides itself on offering a lot of narrative choice that has actually impact on the gameplay, and we get to see a little bit of that in this episode. I'm not going to go into details, but what I'll tell you is that Ludin gets punched in the face. It's pretty hilarious.
