We now finish off World 2 with...a 4-minute video. How anticlimactic.

Why is this installment so short? Because this *stage* is so short. Since it's an Extra, I'm playing it alone, and Extra 2 (Hit That Switch!!) is probably the shortest stage in the game. That does not make it the easiest, though...it consists of almost nothing but riding very fast platforms and pressing red !-switches to give yourself solid ground. If any switch runs out, unless you're at the very beginning or end, you're pretty much hosed. It can also be kind of a pain to get a perfect score on this one because there is so little room for error. Just ride the platforms, hit the switches, bounce to higher levels...oh, and don't hit the last switch too soon, unless you want to die right before the goal ring.

The World 2 bonus is Scratch and Match. You have seven cards with a ? symbol on them, each of which can be scratched off to reveal a picture of either Mario or a Toady. There are three of the former and four of the latter, and the more Marios you get, the more lives you get. I have never ONCE managed to get all three Marios in this without cheating.

With World 2 finished, that's a third of the game completed...at least, if you don't take difficulty into account.
