In this episode, Alex gradually comes back to her senses after the upsetting incident with Mac and Gabe (a bit of Radiohead always helps), then makes her way downstairs to the bar, where Jed, the owner, immediately offers her a temporary replacement position for Gabe. This actually helps Alex to get used to her new surroundings, as she makes friends with some of the customers, including Steph, the girl from the record store, and Pike, the local deputy sheriff. The relaxed atmosphere even pushes Alex to go easy on Mac, salvaging his relationship with Riley instead of sabotaging it once and for all.
