In the first part of Episode 1 of Life Is Strange True Colors (the third self-standing game in the Life Is Strange series), we become Alex Chen, a young girl recently released from a foster care group home and making her way to Haven Springs, Colorado, where she plans to reunite with her brother Gabe. As is the case with every protagonist in the Life Is Strange series, Alex is the carrier of a paranormal ability (telepathic penetration into other people's emotional states), accompanied with various uncomfortable psychological side effects. As she takes her first steps around town, meeting mostly friendly acquaintances (including Stephanie Gingrich, making a comeback from Life Is Strange Before The Storm), her superpower does not seem to make that much of a difference - but things definitely turn up to eleven once she gets caught up in a fight between her brother and a guy who thinks he's having an affair with his girlfriend...
