This is the longplay of the game Legend, action game, beat n' up and hack and slash for Super Nintendo. The game was produced by Arcade Zone, released in 1994 and distributed by Seika Corp in the US and Sony Electronic Publishing in Europe.
The game is set in a medieval world where Beldor the Maleficent has reigned as a despot over the kingdom of Sellech for a thousand years. Everything was chaos and destruction. Many knights went on a final crusade to destroy Beldor but none returned alive. The people banded together, built empowered heroes, and imprisoned Beldor's soul. Now, Clovis, corrupt son of the King of Sellech, wants to harness Beldor's power and conquer the kingdom. To stop Clovis from taking over the world, two heroes step into the picture: Kaor, who wields a sword, and Igor, who wields an axe. Together they need to go through stages, face enemies and prevent Clovis from dominating the kingdom with his tyranny.
The player controls Kaor or Igor and needs to go through stages defeating enemies such as barbarians, thieves, cavemen, wizards and others, as well as subbosses and bosses. To do so, it has physical attacks from the sword or axe, special (which hit enemies at the cost of a certain amount of the life bar), flying, as well as a powerful spell that hits all enemies on the screen and whose element is random (fire , thunder, or poison). In addition to attacking, it is also possible to block attacks (by the way, blocking some attacks is crucial at various times), in addition to having items such as food (to recover life), potions (to use spells, the player must have at least two), gold (to add points), keys (to open chests in bonus stages), extra lives, as well as an icon in the shape of a lightning bolt (a passive item, which can be carried with a maximum of 3 of them and serves to increase the character's strength and which is lost if the player loses a life).
The game is relatively obscure, having been considered almost a copy of Golden Axe (a game with the same theme, which was a huge success on SEGA consoles). It's a good game, even if it has a rougher gameplay and a lot of cover songs from other games. This game was developed by just two people, Carlo Perconti and Lyes Belaidouni, and for a long time it was exclusive to the SNES. In 2017, the game was re-released for PC (Steam) and also received a physical re-release by Piko Interactive. The video was made with 2 players. Hope you like it.
