This is the longplay of Ardy Lightfoot, an action and platform game produced by and distributed by ASCII Software. It was released in 1993 in Japan and distributed by ASCII itself, while in the United States it was released in 1994 and its distribution was in charge of Titus Software.
In the game's story, the sacred rainbow has broken into 7 pieces of crystals, and Ardy needs to recover them. Anyone who retrieves the 7 crystals will be able to make a wish. The evil King Visconti has already obtained a piece of crystal and is looking for the others. To this end, he sends his henchmen, including Beecrofty, Catry and many others. Ardy receives help from many characters along the way, including an old man, the girl Nina, a mysterious adventurer named Don Jacoby, and many others.
Ardy Lightfoot is an anthropomorphic being resembling a fox or cat. He is always accompanied by his best friend Pec, who resembles a stuffed animal. Pec can be used as a weapon, or it can have various auxiliary roles along the way in the game, such as being a hot air balloon to freely traverse the levels for a limited time. If Ardy is hit by an enemy, Pec disappears and can be recovered by opening a chest. If Ardy is without his buddy, he can still attack using his tail to jump. He can also temporarily protect himself by hiding behind a mirror. The graphics are beautiful, the game has good music and the gameplay is good, especially when you learn to use the character's tail to attack enemies and climb high places. Ardy Lightfoot is a game that was released in the 90s, in the middle of the era of games with anthropomorphic animals. Even with this theme, the game has a slightly serious plot.
