Lords of Xulima might have the painfully generic graphics of a really awful "casual" game, but this is actually an old school PC RPG with a six character party, 100 skills to choose from, challenging turn-based combat and a lengthy main quest to embark upon. In fact, the game is even hardcore enough to have received a tentative stamp of approval earlier this year from the, shall we say, *discerning* gentlemen over at RPG Codex. At the same time, the game's mounting complexity is supported by a clean, easy-to-use UI as well as convenient options for speeding up combat animations and reloading save files on the fly; proving that "old school" doesn't necessarily have to mean clunky and finicky.
