Dragon Age: Inquisition [Nightmare difficulty] [Gameplay #9] - Glory to the Brave
DA:I continues to be very challenging on Nightmare, and I haven't even finished the first set of story quests or reached the Skyhold home base yet (at least according to Origin, the total playtime so far is 50 hours (!)). I've had to exploit the game mechanics quite a bit (mostly by attacking enemies from such a distance that the AI isn't triggered properly) to get through many of the tougher battles. By all accounts, the next story quest ("In Your Heart Shall Burn") is one of the most challenging in the entire game, so I've been very reluctant to move on without becoming comfortably over-levelled first (thus, the oft-parroted "leave Hinterlands!" advice does *not* apply on Nightmare difficulty). The trouble has been that I've long started running out of side quests in the beginning areas and the ones who remain are brutally difficult. That said, being able to close several high-level Rifts in the same session suggests that I might finally be getting somewhere (although progress remains agonizingly slow).
