In this video, Lotus 3: The Ultimate Challenge, released in 1992 for the Atari ST by Gremlin Graphics.
The last chapter of the lucky series starring Lotus automobiles, The Ultimate Challenge add another Lotus car, the prototype M200 alongside the already known Esprit and Elan and, with the addition of a unique track builder; it mix the mechanics of the previous 2 chapters adding the possibility of making your own tracks, thus offering a complete experience. You can race in solo or duo (where is the link mode of the second chapter? It was an excellent option), in time trials tracks or circuits in different environments.
Graphically Lotus is awesome, very detailed, with well designed environmental hazards, with a fast scrolling that makes you "feel the speed". The audio section could be better but is still good, this chapter also sees the return of the track selection at the beginning of every race. The playability is good but if you have a friend it becomes top class.
Sincerely speaking I don't know why reviewers of the time said that it was out of time or the genre was fading and similar opinion and gave Lotus a lesser score than it deserved. I find Lotus 3 to be an enjoyable complete game that perfectly ends a series, without being boring or rushed out for money.
Here you'll find loading intro and gameplay of a random track.

All footage taken from original hardware machines and upscaled to 1080P.

Let me know what do you think about the video in the comments below but, most important, Enjoy!!!
