He explores how combining proven systems like behavior trees and goal planners with a “Combo Move” system and extensive preplanning of actions enabled the team to achieve this. The talk focuses on high-level decision making and describes the underlying system that enabled Splash Damage to make it possible for multiple units to execute actions at the same time without losing clarity for the player.
