Martyr Logarius S16 Pt3 Let's Play Bloodborne
4Martyr Logarius, boss of Cainhurst Castle is certainly a frantic boss fight. The good news is that Martyr Logarius only has 2 phases. The bad news is unless you know what you're doing, the 2nd phase is hell incarnate.
Thankfully I've learned from my mistakes from asking a few folks and I'm here to impart the wisdom they taught me.
The 1st Phase Logarious is fairly easy, if you're far away he'll cast magic. Normally if very far away it's not the skull spread, but the giant mass that's easily avoidable. The skulls are the more pressing problem, he tends to cast it when you're trying to get near him.
You can either abuse invincibility frames as I show here, or use the environment to your advantage. Regardless of how you get near him, the safest course of action is to quick step in when he's casting a spell, hit him once, then back step once or twice. Rarely will you get hit doing this.
At around 50-60% ish health the 2nd phase kicks off and it's imperative you get behind him and charge attack then visceral. If you're late, he buffs himself so that he doesn't get staggered. (I think maybe un visceral-able too) So that's very very bad.
The more pressing issue is his unlimited blade... er wrong copyright, his flying sword cloud attack. It was brought to my attention you can stop this attack, by attacking the sword he plants in the ground.. really wish I'd known that before.
He also is MUCH more aggressive in phase 2. Fantastic if you're good at visceral attacks, deadly if you panic. Also, try and keep him in your sights. He jumps up and quite often causes de-lock on. If you can keep him in your sight, it's very easy to get a visceral when he's mid air. (Like as long as he's going toward you the window is open in my experience) Screw up though.. and it hurts VERY badly.
So practice, practice, practice. No substitute for it here, with this knowledge and some practice, you'll take him down in no time. Good luck fellow hunters!
